Here is a little bit of information about our fast growing team. We hope you find their individual stories inspiring.
Jo Chivers - DirectorJo Chivers first job was jillarooing in outback NSW after leaving school, her pay was $60 a week working 6am to 5pm six days a week. This first introduction to full time work gave her the hard working ethics she still uses today. Since that first job, Jo has travelled the world, completed a marketing degree and spent 14 years marketing and building some of the world's best known brands, managing multi million dollar budgets. These brands took her to Thailand, New Zealand, London, LA and New York where her last corporate role for a luxury cosmetic house saw her travelling to New York on frequent trips working out of the famous Trump Tower on Fifth Ave. Having an insight in such a lavish world she realised there had to be an easier way of making her millions. She was working very long hours and couldn't see how her and her husband could ever start a family and keep up such a demanding position.
Her decision to enroll herself in an intensive property education program taught her about the many strategies available for property investing. Using one of these strategies, she very quickly built up an investment portfolio in Sydney only to realize that she could only hold so many negatively geared properties. She switched strategies to developing properties, realizing how to create equity rather than wait for it to come via capital growth. After completing her first development her friends asked her if she could do the same for them. Seizing the opportunity to help others develop property, her business Property Bloom™ was born around the same time as her first son. In just a few years, Jo has built up a successful property development project management business, developed more than 36 properties for her clients and had two children. Her plans are to expand the business nationally in the near future. She structures her work around her family, leaving plenty of time for her two energetic sons who she plans to teach early the benefits of property investment.
